Sans Souci Speakers Club on the Ed Doolan Show
29/01/08 08:12
Hilary Davis from Sans Souci Speakers Club,
Solihull was recently invited to
appear on the Ed Doolan show on BBC Radio WM. She took part in a 30 minute
session in which she had the opportunity to tell the listeners all about the
benefits of joining a Speakers Club and to explain that it gives an ideal
environment for learning and improving public speaking and presentation
skills.
It was also a chance for Hilary to put the Sans Souci training into practice
for herself! "I had never done anything like appearing on radio before", she
explained. "But the experience I have gained at the club helped me to think
on my feet when Ed asked me unexpected questions"
HIlary was accompanied by Dilwyn Scott, National Education Director
and a member of Stourbridge Speakers Club.

The SPEAKER - To 'web' or not to 'web', that is the question ... discussion topic
12/01/08 11:51
Whilst reading my SPEAKER I came upon an
interesting letter opposing the concept of The
SPEAKER on the web.
As National Webmaster I would, of course, be involved here and I wonder what members think?
Web users will be aware that we host an archive of articles from past issues on this site, but we are now considering the possibility of including an on-line digest only in the Members Area to supplement (not replace) the printed edition, probably posted a week or two later. These would then, over time, come to be an archive.
Can I invite members to comment?
