Report of the 2011 Conference
This is the initial report of the very successful conference in Edinburgh over the weekend of 15th/17th April. These are just a few of the many photos that were taken starting with the stalwart registration ladies. Below you will find our new National President's thoughts and the winners and runners-up in the three competitions as well as this year's Online Speech Competition.

Our National President's Appreciation of the Conference
To write a report on an event at which one did virtually nothing feels a little weird.
The outgoing National President, Gwyneth Millard, handled the AGM of the General Council very well, with competence, aplomb and good humour; I hope I can do as well next year. The conference, generally, was smoothly run and the venue was good. The competitions were to a high standard and all the winners deserved their victories. The gala dinner seemed to be a success, but I think that is not for me to judge.
What the conference highlighted, for me, was that we need to maintain our enthusiasm and be positive in all we do.
