Club News 

Arbroath SC

Update

Most of our guests from the open night have returned for further ordinary club evenings.

Club President Robert Hill and members welcomed eight guests to our Open Evening on Thursday 10th November. This is by way of being an annual event but this year we were lucky to be able to advertise it on the local authority intranet. This combined with the personal invitations from existing members made for a very successful membership drive.

We did away with the business meeting at the start of the evening, but had the usual three speeches, followed by a single evaluation of all three just to give our guests an idea of how we support and encourage speakers. Following a lively interval with sandwiches and tea/coffee, the Topics Session brought enthusiastic contributions from all our guests. One of their number more than held his own by taking a topic.

Our guests all said how much they had enjoyed the evening and we are hoping most of them will return on a normal club evening.
